Outbig runs a public leaderboard on which submitted websites and profiles are ranked solely by the amount paid for them. There is no editorial score, no vote, and no hidden sorting algorithm.
Under section 25 of the Austrian Media Act, the declared editorial line of this publication is exactly that: presenting this ranking, its rules, and the figures belonging to it.
The leaderboard holds two kinds of listing, and the difference is visible on every one of them.
Paid placements: someone has paid money for this listing. The amount paid is shown next to it, and it alone determines the rank. That is the stated purpose of the service, not hidden advertising. Their outbound links carry rel="sponsored noopener noreferrer", declaring the paid placement to search engines as well. A paid placement is never an endorsement link.
Unclaimed listings: we added well-known products and platforms so the categories do not start out empty. Those providers have paid nothing, were not asked, and have no connection to us. Such listings carry the visible note “Unclaimed — not a paid listing, no affiliation with the provider”, show the price at which they can be claimed instead of an amount, and rank below every paid listing. Their outbound links carry rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" — not “sponsored”, because nothing was sponsored.
An unclaimed listing implies no endorsement, no rating, and no business relationship. It says only that the named offering exists and that this spot is free.
Write to office@ostheimer.at. Name the listing or the address of your offering — that is all we need.
No reason is required. We will not assess whether a claim exists, and we will not argue about it: if you ask us to remove your unclaimed listing, we remove it. Without undue delay, and at the latest within 72 hours of your message reaching us.
If you would rather keep the listing and run it yourself, you can claim it through the leaderboard. That is your choice, not our condition — removal does not depend on it.
The same goes for a wrong description, a wrong category, or a wrong link target: one message is enough and we will correct it.
Listings come entirely from third parties. We check them automatically against the exclusions stated in the rules, but we do not adopt the linked content as our own and accept no liability for it.
If a listing appears unlawful to you, write to the email address above. We review every report and remove or freeze unlawful listings as soon as we become aware of them.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
