Day 0 — what this is and what it costs to be wrong
OutBIG is a pay-to-rank leaderboard, and it is not the first one. The idea is borrowed: the highest bid takes rank #1, and everyone can see what every rank cost. Saying that out loud first seems better than waiting for someone else to say it.
What is not borrowed is what sits underneath. Every listing on this board is readable by a machine as well as by a person: an open JSON API with no key, a Markdown version of every page under the same address, structured data, and an llms.txt that says plainly what this source is not good for. An independent scanner rates that at 100 out of 100 — the same scan gives some very large sites a good deal less.
The goal for the next twelve weeks is $1,000 in total board value, up from $26 today. If the board is below $250 and fewer than five other sites link here after twelve weeks, this stops and the last entry explains why. That is a real number and a real date, published before the fact rather than after it.
Every week the same five figures appear at the top of this page, straight from the database: listings, board value, top bid, clicks sent to listed sites, and referring domains. They are small right now. Showing them anyway is the point — a leaderboard that hides its own numbers has no business asking anyone to trust a ranking.
